Each Checkout link opens payment with that plan selected: only the email address and payment remain.

## How it works

1. Choose a plan and pay on the product page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto).
2. The eSIM QR code arrives by email; install it before you travel (Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Add eSIM).
3. On arrival, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS.

Data-only: the eSIM has no phone number. Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.

## An Iceland eSIM for the Ring Road and the Northern Lights

Icelandair flies direct to Iceland from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow, and British Airways from Heathrow, in about three hours. Iceland is on GMT all year, so it is on UK time in winter and an hour behind in British Summer Time. Sockets are the European two-pin kind. Install the eSIM before you go and you have data from Keflavík for the car hire, road and weather updates and aurora forecasts.

Iceland is in every big UK network's Europe zone, so your plan may already cover it - see the table below. An eSIM helps if your plan charges by the day or you will use a lot of data on a long road trip.

## Entry and health

Iceland follows the Schengen rules: 90 days in any 180 across the Schengen area, a passport issued less than ten years before you arrive and valid for three months after you leave. Your GHIC or EHIC can now be used for medically necessary state healthcare in Iceland. Declare 10,000 euros or more in cash. And do not bring whale products home: importing them into the UK is illegal (gov.uk, updated 11 August 2026).

## FAQ

### Is my GHIC valid in Iceland?

Yes. The Foreign Office says the GHIC or EHIC can now be used for medically necessary state healthcare in Iceland (gov.uk, updated 11 August 2026).
