Each Checkout link opens payment with that plan selected: only the email address and payment remain.

## How it works

1. Choose a plan and pay on the product page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto).
2. The eSIM QR code arrives by email; install it before you travel (Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Add eSIM).
3. On arrival, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS.

Data-only: the eSIM has no phone number. Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.

## Is Jersey roaming on your UK plan? On some networks, yes

Jersey feels like home - same plugs, same time, pounds sterling - but it is not part of the UK, and several UK networks charge for it. EE says so plainly: the Channel Islands are not part of the UK, so its £2.72 Europe daily charge applies on plans since July 2021. Vodafone charges £2.75 a day and Three £2 (£2.75 for newer customers). giffgaff charges its UK non-EU rate of 20p per MB, and SMARTY 2p per MB. O2, Tesco Mobile and iD Mobile include Jersey in their allowances, and Sky treats it as inclusive like the UK. If your network is one that charges, a Jersey eSIM keeps a weekend away at a fixed price.

## Getting there, and what ID to take

You do not need a passport to arrive in Jersey from the UK, but you must carry photo ID - Jersey accepts whatever photo ID your airline or ferry company accepted, such as a passport, national ID card or photocard driving licence. The Government of Jersey confirmed in January 2026 that it has not changed these rules. Under the reciprocal health agreement, gov.je says you can get emergency treatment on visits of less than six months, while gov.uk's guidance says less than three - so take travel insurance for a longer stay (gov.je and gov.uk, checked 9 October 2026).

easyJet flies to Jersey from across the UK, from Belfast and Glasgow to Luton and Gatwick; British Airways flies from Heathrow and Gatwick in about an hour; Jet2 and Loganair serve the Midlands, the North and the South West. DFDS sails from Portsmouth and Poole.

## FAQ

### Do I pay roaming charges in Jersey?

It depends on your network. EE (£2.72 a day), Vodafone (£2.75) and Three (£2 or £2.75) charge their Europe daily rate, and giffgaff and SMARTY charge per MB; O2, Tesco Mobile, iD Mobile and Sky include Jersey (each network's own terms, 9 October 2026).

### Do I need a passport to fly to Jersey from the UK?

No, but you need photo ID: Jersey accepts whichever photo ID your airline or ferry company accepts (gov.je, checked 9 October 2026).
