Each Checkout link opens payment with that plan selected: only the email address and payment remain.

## How it works

1. Choose a plan and pay on the product page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto).
2. The eSIM QR code arrives by email; install it before you travel (Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Add eSIM).
3. On arrival, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS.

Data-only: the eSIM has no phone number. Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.

## A Madagascar eSIM for travellers from the UK

There is no direct flight from the UK, so you connect on the way; install the eSIM at home and it connects when you land at Antananarivo. One plan covers the island where the networks reach - useful for the long drives between parks - and it is data only, so your UK number stays on your phone. Madagascar is two hours ahead of the UK in British Summer Time and three in winter. Sockets are the European two-pin kind.

On a UK plan, EE charges £8 a day (£40 a week), O2 Travel £7 (and Madagascar is in O2's Travel Inclusive Zone on selected plans), Three £7, and Vodafone needs an eight-day pass from £6 for 50MB.

## Entry fees: check before you fly

The two official sources disagree on short stays. The Foreign Office says you can stay up to 15 days without a visa by paying a 10-euro fee on arrival, with longer stays on a 30- or 60-day visa bought at the airport (gov.uk, updated 9 September 2026). Madagascar's official e-visa site lists 30 euros for one to 15 days, 35 for up to 30, 40 for up to 60 and 50 for up to 90, and says online and arrival prices are the same. Check the current fee before you go and carry euros or dollars. Your passport needs six months' validity and two blank pages, and you must show an onward or return ticket.

You can bring in up to 400,000 ariary, and must declare foreign cash of 7,500 euros or more or risk it being seized when you leave. The Foreign Office advises not using your phone or showing cash on the street.

## FAQ

### How much is a Madagascar visa?

Sources differ: gov.uk (updated 9 September 2026) describes a 10-euro fee for stays up to 15 days, while Madagascar's official e-visa site lists 30 euros for 1 to 15 days and up to 50 euros for 90 days. Check the current fee before travelling.
