Each Checkout link opens payment with that plan selected: only the email address and payment remain.

## How it works

1. Choose a plan and pay on the product page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto).
2. The eSIM QR code arrives by email; install it before you travel (Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Add eSIM).
3. On arrival, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS.

Data-only: the eSIM has no phone number. Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.

## One island, two roaming zones

St Maarten is shared: the Dutch side, Sint Maarten, and the French side, Saint-Martin, with no border between them. For your UK phone that difference matters. The French side is in the EU's outermost regions and inside the Europe zone of EE, Vodafone and Three - £2 to £2.75 a day on most recent plans - while the Dutch side is charged as worldwide roaming: EE £8 for 24 hours with 500MB, Vodafone £8 a day and Three £7. Your phone can switch between networks without you crossing anything visible, so a travel eSIM keeps the bill predictable on both sides.

## Entry, the ED card and getting there

British passport holders can stay up to 90 days on the Dutch side without a visa, on a passport valid for six months after arrival. Everyone arriving or departing by air - including those staying on the French side - must complete the online Embarkation/Disembarkation card on the Sint Maarten government's entry.sx, one per traveller. Carry photo ID at all times. On the French side, an EU outermost region, your GHIC is valid (gov.uk, updated 10 December 2025).

There is no non-stop flight from the UK, so you connect on the way. The island is four hours behind the UK in winter and five in British Summer Time. Sockets differ by side - American types A and B at 110 volts on the Dutch side, European two-pin at 230 volts on the French side - so pack an adaptor for both.

## FAQ

### Does EU roaming work in St Maarten?

Only on the French side, Saint-Martin, which EE, Vodafone and Three count in their Europe zones. The Dutch side, Sint Maarten, is charged as worldwide roaming - around £7 to £8 a day (checked 9 October 2026).
