## Plans on sale

No plans are on sale for this destination right now.

## How it works

1. Choose a plan and pay on the product page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto).
2. The eSIM QR code arrives by email; install it before you travel (Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Add eSIM).
3. On arrival, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS.

Data-only: the eSIM has no phone number. Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.

## Thailand from the UK: the 30-day rule changed in September

Since 15 September 2026, British passport holders entering Thailand without a visa can stay up to 30 days, for tourism only - and the Royal Thai Embassy in London adds that visa-free entry can be used only twice in a calendar year. Planning a longer trip, or a winter away? You need a visa. Your passport needs six months' validity and a blank page, and you may be asked to show 10,000 baht per person (20,000 per family) in funds.

Before you fly, complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card on the official immigration site within the three days before you arrive. Overstaying costs 500 baht a day, up to 20,000 (gov.uk, updated 28 September 2026). A tourism entry fee has been widely reported but is not in force; the embassy page does not mention one.

## A Thailand eSIM for Bangkok, the islands and the north

One plan covers the country, so the same eSIM works from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Phuket and the Gulf islands. Install it at home and you are online at Suvarnabhumi before the taxi queue - useful for Grab, maps and the hotel transfer. It is data only; your UK number stays on your phone for bank texts.

Thai Airways flies from Heathrow to Bangkok twice a day in about 11 and a half hours, EVA Air flies Heathrow to Bangkok daily, British Airways flies from Gatwick, and Virgin Atlantic starts Heathrow to Phuket on 18 October 2026. Thailand is six hours ahead of the UK in British Summer Time and seven in winter. Sockets usually take several plug types but not the UK's, so pack an adaptor.

On a UK plan, EE charges £6 a day (£30 a week), O2 Travel £7, Vodafone £8 and Three £7 (£8 on some plans started since December 2025).
