Each Checkout link opens payment with that plan selected: only the email address and payment remain.

## How it works

1. Choose a plan and pay on the product page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto).
2. The eSIM QR code arrives by email; install it before you travel (Settings > Mobile/Cellular > Add eSIM).
3. On arrival, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your own SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS.

Data-only: the eSIM has no phone number. Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.

## A Uganda eSIM from the UK

The eSIM covers the whole country on one plan, from Kampala and Entebbe to the national parks wherever the local networks reach. Install it at home and it connects when you land at Entebbe. It is data only, so your UK number stays on your phone for calls and bank texts.

Uganda is expensive on a UK plan: EE charges £8 a day, Three £7 or £8, and O2 has no O2 Travel pass there - only data bolt-ons from £26 for 100MB. Vodafone needs an eight-day pass, from £6 for 50MB to £24 for 1GB, on plans started since February 2024.

## Visa, flights and connectivity

British passport holders need a visa, applied for online on Uganda's official immigration portal: 50 US dollars for single entry, plus a possible 3% card surcharge. You get a letter of authorisation with a barcode to print and show on arrival. Visiting Kenya and Rwanda too? The East Africa Tourist Visa costs 100 dollars and allows multiple entries to all three over 90 days. Your passport needs six months' validity (gov.uk, updated 8 October 2026).

Uganda Airlines flies the only direct route from the UK, from Gatwick to Entebbe. Uganda is three hours ahead of the UK in winter and two in British Summer Time, and uses the UK's three-pin sockets. The Foreign Office notes that elections and political events have brought internet and social media disruption - download offline maps and keep key details saved on your phone.

## FAQ
